i just finished my “bigger on the inside” shawl!
my friend jill custom dyed the yarn for this project.
there is a time vortex lace section above a section with tiny tardises. tardii. uhm…
anyway! i love it!
finished my first shawlette thingy.
basically, it’s a triangular construction.
the yarn stripes itself.
so…i love maps.
i think i inherited the map loving gene from my mom.
i recently bought a new united states map from imus geographics.
it’s won awards and is super easy to read.
materials:
1 skein noro kogarashi or 165 yards of an equivalent chunky weight yarn
1 set of 10.5 circulars 24″ or longer
yarn needle
cast on 101 stitches
row 1: knit
row 2: *k19, kfb. repeat from * to end.
repeat rows 1 & 2 until width desired or 19 more rows.
bind off using the picot bind off: * cast on two, bind off four
continue from * to end. weave in ends.
