so i’ve had this tin since high school.
and let me tell you, it was pretty styling then.
i’ve kept my make up in it for years, and it has always sat on the bathroom counter.
but sometimes those things that we see everyday become invisible,
and we can’t see how ugly they are.

i am going to start a series on my blog.
i don’t have a title for it yet, but i will be interviewing people i know.
i’m looking for volunteers.

today is thanksgiving.
i’m going to spend it with my family: mom, sister, brother, their families, a few others…
holidays are a big deal on my side of the family which is always a bit overwhelming because my mister and i are more introverted.
but i am thankful that i have family, a place to be, a sense of belonging…

david took today off from work, and we went to the coffee shop at agritopia.
i ordered a maple oat nut scone-delicious!

i’m experimenting with gouache right now.
it is like a matte painting medium.
it’s pretty old as far as media goes.
comes out of a tube nowadays though,
like watercolors.

This is one of my favorite patterns.
It’s one of those that you find on the cheap Sugar n’ Cream cotton at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby.
Generally, I only like to knit a simple seed stitch for washcloths, but I love mixing colors on the edging for this pattern.
I finally attended a community dinner at Liberty Market (instead of working it).
It was so delicious!
The food was fantastic, and so was the sangria service.
I had a great time hanging out with my co-workers.

you know, the electric powered sports car that goes zero to sixty in 3.7 seconds.
sigh. i licked it. it was so pretty. carbon fiber exterior, leather interior.
